Texas Roofing & Renovations was founded by USMC combat veteran Chad Hawkins. After graduating from Grapevine HS in 1996 Chad went on to become an All-American baseball player at Baylor University where he helped the Bears win a Big 12 championship. In June of 2000 Chad was drafted by the Texas Rangers in the first round. His baseball career was cut short due to injury and so he went on to become an infantry machine gunner in the United States Marine Corps. In a place called Nowzad, surrounded by the Hindu Kush Mountains in Afghanistan, Chad earned his combat action ribbon.
